I've been taking my dog to a secret location for off-leash play for months and only in the last few days have I stopped looking at the trees and started seeing them... How embarrassing... You know, since I am a photographer... Never realized that bark was so different species to species...

Dog or Bear? Is it bad form to love your own shots? Kinda like laughing at your own jokes? Or is it that we photographers have to love some of the things we shoot or we'd give it all up for a 9-5...

Working on clocks and jewelry for a company that uses recycled bike parts... Very cool stuff. If anyone is interested in purchasing for Christmas presents for bike-enthusiast friends, shoot me an email and I'll send some info. Their new website is not up yet.

Busy, busy. Doing an annual report so on the road, in the air, at hotels, in cornfields... I LOVE being on the road (except for missing my dog). I don't love dealing with long lines at airports and people who are so stressed they check their manners with their baggage...

Partnering with Design Within Reach, I (as photographer and owner of DogsOnWhite) have organized an event to benefit Denver Dumb Friends League. The event will take place on 28 August, 2010. Mark your calendars and come on down! All proceeds from the dog-bowl silent auction will go to DDFL and the highest bidder will receive a free pet-photo session... In addition, there will be one random drawing for a second photo session, but you have to come on down to participate.

I'm busy starting a new business, doing a couple of classes to refresh some of my business skills AND shooting every chance I get. Starting out the year with a great new client and some executive head shots - Although, we did a lot more than just heads... I can honestly say that I have more problems with getting executives to give me "serious" rather than "smiling" and "friendly"... My assistant has heard my speel one too many times and tunes me out these days and I'm painfully aware that my subjects are not necessarily laughing with me but rather at me... Samples:
